Mobile Apps: A Growing Playground for Hackers
Hello everyone, for this week I found an interesting article about how mobile apps are becoming major targets for cyberattacks, especially with the rise of AI. It turns out that over 80% of iOS apps track private user data, and many of them aren’t even designed with proper security in mind. Hackers now use AI to break into apps faster, bypass security like multi-factor authentication, and steal info without being noticed. What’s even more concerning is that most of this happens quietly, through things like app permissions, push notifications, and background activity. The article really made me think about how much info we give away just by using our phones, and how easy it is for that data to be exposed if the app isn’t protected properly. Mobile apps are now one of the most vulnerable pieces of our digital lives. As consumers, we should be cautious about the apps we download and the permissions we grant.
